Banana ice cream with nuts, sweet and crunchy

Banana is one of the first fruits that we incorporate into baby foods and purees, and it is also one of the most useful to give them as a snack. In hot weather, prepare this banana and walnut ice cream.

Homemade ice cream recipes for children are very special, we teach children how ice creams are made, and we can make sure we have a dessert without preservatives or dyes, much more natural for the children's diet.

  • 4 bananas
  • 450 ml. whipping cream
  • 225 ml. milk
  • 80 gr. of sugar
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 100 gr. peeled walnuts

Tips: If you wish, you can accompany the ice cream with a drizzle of chocolate or caramel syrup, as the children like best.

1. Mix the milk with the cream, add the sugar and beat well until it dissolves. It can be put on a low heat for a few minutes to speed up this process.

2. Peel and chop the bananas, add them to the blender glass with a splash of lemon juice, and blend everything into a puree.

3. Add the banana puree and the vanilla essence to the cream and milk mixture, mix well to form an integrated mixture.

4. If we have an ice cream maker, pour the ice cream into the indicated container and chill for 30 minutes. Pour the ice cream into a container, add the chopped walnuts, stir well to distribute them and take to the freezer.

5. To do it without ice cream maker, add the chopped or chopped nuts when the cream is cold, put it in a container (if possible flat and metallic) and take it to the freezer covered with plastic wrap. Stir the ice cream every half hour for the first 3 hours to break up the ice crystals.
